Invest in Our Students' Future—Vote YES on May 20, 2025!

We encourage you to vote YES on the upcoming Special School Tax Referendum to continue the existing 9 mill District Ad Valorem Tax, which has been in place since 1946.

This is not a new tax, not an increase, and not an additional tax; it simply continues the current funding that supports the success of our students.

Every dollar stays within Etowah County Schools, directly benefiting our schools, classrooms, teachers, and educational programs.

If you can’t vote on May 20th, please cast an absentee ballot and make your voice heard!

Upcoming Senior Class of 2026

Save the date for your summer senior formal portrait.

Date: June 17th-18th

Time: 9am-3pm

Location: Noccalula Falls

Your formal photo is required. It will be used in the 2026 yearbook for Southside High. You will have the option to take photos in up to two different outfits. Those are NOT required.

A sitting fee will be charged and must be paid when you book your appointment. The appointment calendar will be posted at a later date.

The following information pertains to end of year activites/guidelines for the graduating senior class of 2025.

Senior End of Year Information

Senior students that make all A’s and B’s during the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd nine week periods are eligible to register in the drawing for a FREE CAR from Devan Lowe.

At the end of each grading period, take a copy of the report card and a parent/guardian to Devan Lowe on HWY 77 to register.
