📣 2026 ECS Virtual Academy (ACCESS Virtual Learning) Application Reminder 📣

It’s time to begin planning for the 2026 school year! If your student is interested in participating in the ECS Virtual Academy (ACCESS Virtual Learning), please be sure to complete the application process.

🔹 Important Reminder: Applicants must use their ECS Gmail account to access and submit the application link. 🔹 Please review all highlighted updates to the guidelines carefully before submitting. 🔹 Deadline: All applications must be submitted by July 1, 2026 at 8:00 a.m.

Don’t wait until the last minute—be sure to complete your application on time! If you have any questions, please contact your school for assistance.

Cap and Gown Photos
Cap and Gown photos April 29th

📸🎓 Senior Cap & Gown Photo Information 🎓📸

Senior cap and gown photos will be taken on Wednesday, April 29th in the LC (Learning Commons) from 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM.

All seniors will have their photo taken during this time. Students may bring their own cap and gown or use one provided by the school.

We will have the following available for students who need them:

  • SGA/Class Representative stoles
  • NHS stole, cord, and tassel

❗ Please note: We will NOT provide cords for photos. If you would like to wear cords, you must bring your own.

📌 Dual Enrollment, Co-Op, and Career Tech students:

Please make plans to be on campus between 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM to have your photo taken.

✍️🎉 Spring Athlete Signing Day 🎉✍️

We are excited to celebrate our student-athletes as they take the next step in their athletic journeys! Join us for Spring Signing Day on:

⏰ 1:00 PM

📍 Southside Biddle Auditorium

All participating student-athletes will be provided a 4x4 table to decorate as they wish. Tables will be set up the morning of the event beginning at 8:00 AM.

🔬 Join the Southside High Science Club!

Love science? Want to explore, learn, and connect with other curious minds? The Southside High Science Club meets monthly and hosts exciting Science Café nights in the LC at our Claws Out Café.

Each Café night features guest speakers who share their expertise, experiences, and passion for science.

Backpack Policy
Backpack Policy

Students are allowed to carry backpacks that are clear or mesh to classrooms. Any other backpack/bag must be stored in a locker that is assigned to the student. Students will not receive locker information until the first day of school in homeroom. They will have time to find their locker and store their belongings during homeroom.

First Priority Meets Every Wednesday
First Priority Wednesday Mornings at 7:15am

First Priority will meet on Wednesday mornings in the learning commons from 7:15 until 7:30. Bring a friend.
