MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Southside High School is to make certain that each student realizes his or her own unique potential.  We strive to provide progressive instruction and a broad curriculum to ensure that all students meet state standards and are prepared for future challenges.

Online registration for the 2019-2020 school year is now available through Powerschool Online Registration. This process is required for ALL students (returning and new). We want to set a personal record this year and get most of our registration for returning students completed before the end of the May.  Please help us reach this goal! 

Returning Student Information 2019-2020  (rising 9th graders from RMS-current 11th graders): Parents will receive an email with directions to assist you with registering your student for the upcoming school year. Click the direct link in the email to begin the registration process. 

When completing this information online, please make sure to click the final Submit button, or your student's registration will not be complete.

If you are a NEW student, please go to www.ecboe.org and click on Parents/Students, Student Registration/Enrollment.  Click the New Student 2019-2020 link to begin the registration process.  

We will be sharing this information several times throughout the remainder of the year.šŸ¾

Report cards will go home with students on Friday, January 9th. The report card will show the student's grades for the past 9 weeks of school.  You will also notice a Term 1 Average on this report card. The Term 1 Average does not affect a student's final grade in any way.  It is simply just an average of the 1st 9 week and 2nd 9 week grades.  This just automatically prints on the report card.   
A students's final average will be calculated from the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th, 9 weeks grades and the final exam in May.  
If you have any questions, please contact the guidance counselors at the school.

12:00pm - begin broadcast of eclipse throughout school.
1:00pm - dismiss those students that have returned forms and purchased glasses to the Band/Soccer Field. If student has not returned form or purchased glasses, they will be allowed to watch in auditorium. Teachers and Admin will be supervising. Madison Moore will be in the band tower with speaker system talking the students through the event. 
1:45pm - return to classes
12:00pm - begin broadcast of eclipse throughout school.
