📢 Testing Day Announcement 📢
On Tuesday, October 21st, we will have important testing at Southside High:
✅ 10th Grade – PACT ✅ 12th Grade – WorkKeys Assessment
Testing will take place during regular school hours, and students should report to school at the normal time.
📚 9th & 11th Grade students will report to school as normal and be held in the PE gym until testing is over.
Thank you for helping us support our students on this important day of learning and assessment! 🐾

You are invited to attend our Veterans Day assembly on Nov. 5, 2025 at 9am in Southside High Biddle Auditorium.
If you have a family member who has served or is currently serving in the United States Armed Forces, we would love to honor them in our Southside High School Veterans Day Slideshow Presentation!

📣 Early Dismissal Announcement 🇺🇸
All Etowah County Schools, including Southside High School, will dismiss early on Wednesday, November 5th to allow students, staff, and families the opportunity to participate in and attend the Veterans Day Parade in Downtown Gadsden.

Love science? Want to explore, learn, and connect with other curious minds? The Southside High Science Club meets monthly and hosts exciting Science Café nights in the LC at our Claws Out Café.
Each Café night features guest speakers who share their expertise, experiences, and passion for science.

Students are allowed to carry backpacks that are clear or mesh to classrooms. Any other backpack/bag must be stored in a locker that is assigned to the student. Students will not receive locker information until the first day of school in homeroom. They will have time to find their locker and store their belongings during homeroom.
