DRIVER EDUCATION
SYLLABUS
Goal: To learn the fundamentals of safe and responsible driving within a variety of environments utilizing a three phase program of classroom instruction (30 hours), behind the wheel instruction (performance based) and simulation training.
Requirements: Must be 15 years of age or older, in the tenth grade, pay class fee of $40.00 and have a valid Alabama learners license.
Grading Procedure:
Tests, notebook/daily work, and simulation 50% of semester grade
Behind the wheel driving 50% of semester grade
Overview:
Driver Education is a nine week, ½ unit of credit class.
