Southside High School Beginning Guitar

2020-2021

Teacher: Mrs. Hammock

PROGRAM PURPOSE AND STRUCTURE

The purpose of this class is to develop an understanding of how to play acoustic guitar. We will learn parts of the guitar as well as an appropriate technique when playing. We will learn to play chords, melody lines, and bass lines using modern and traditional tunes. Student participation in the class is a major part of this class. Input will be needed when choosing song selection and outside practice is necessary.
