Its purpose is to develop leadership and citizenship; to maintain and establish a high moral standard; to insure a spirit of democracy; to create a respect and ambition for higher scholastic attainments, to encourage cooperation and participation of students in all school activities.

The SGA maintains a code of ethics that is a challenge to the best in every student. It serves as a guide, a director and a pattern to follow. The Association sponsors a social program that considers the entire student body.
