Textbook, pencils, binder, notebook paper, graph paper, ruler, and a scientific or graphing calculator.
Course Content and Tentative Pacing Guide
1st Nine Weeks-
Equations and Inequalities, Complex Numbers, Fundamental Theorem of Algebra, Quadratic Equations, Functions and their graphs, Slope, Transformations, Polynomials, Remainder and Factor theorems, Modeling using variations
2nd Nine Weeks-
Exponential Functions, Logarithms, Growth and Decay, Trigonometric Functions, Right triangle trig, Graphs of trig functions, Inverse trig functions, Analytic Trigonometry, Sum and difference formulas, Trigonometric equations
3rd Nine Weeks-
Law of sines and cosines, Polar equations, Vectors, The dot product, Systems of equations in 2 and 3 variables, Systems of Inequalities, Matrices and Determinants, Scalar Multiplication, Inconsistent and Dependent systems, Inverse matrices, Cramer's Rule
4th Nine Weeks-
Conic sections, Analytic Geometry, Truth Tables, Elipses, Hyperbolas, Parabolas, Conic Sections in Polar Coordinates, Sequences, Limits, Induction, Probability, Arithmetic and Geometric Sequences, Binomial Theorem

Rules
• Materials are required daily. Being unprepared will not be tolerated!

Grading Policy
Grades will be determined by total points earned divided by total possible points. Tests will be worth 100 points each, quizzes will be worth 50 points each, and daily homework/classwork will be worth 10 points each.
Make-up Policy
Schoolwork missed due to excused absences may be made up, and a grade shall be awarded. Students shall have 3 days for each day of excused absence to complete and return make up work. It is the responsibility of the student to request and return make-up work. Work for unexcused absences can not be made up..
