Chris Clark, Certified Athletic Trainer

CHRIS CLARK – SOUTHSIDE HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC TRAINER

I am originally from Lexington, KY.  I received my bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science/Kinesiology from the University of Kentucky in 1998 and completed my Master’s Degree in Athletic Training at Furman University in 2001. After completing my degrees, I have worked at the collegiate and high school levels as a Certified Athletic Trainer in Kentucky and Alabama.  Currently, I am employed at Northeast Orthopedics Physical Therapy and am entering my thirteenth year as the school-wide athletic trainer at Southside High School.  I am also an adjunct professor at Jacksonville State University where I teach Kinesiology and Basic Athletic Training.  I am also pursuing an educational doctorate (EdD) in Health Sciences at St. Augustine.  I reside in Southside with my wife Cassie, who is the Library Media Specialist at Southside High School, and our two sons, Drew (9) and Luke (7).  I would like to thank all of the coaches, administration, parents, and athletes at Southside as well as the quality organization that I work with at Northeast Orthopedics.  In particular, I would like to recognize Dr. Douthit and the medical staff as well as the physical therapy teams at NEO for their dedication in helping me provide quality care to all athletes and families at Southside and in the community.  Our family wishes each athlete a successful season both on the field and in the classroom this year.
