Yearbook commonly asked questions
When do seniors pick out their pictures that will appear in the yearbook?
Once make up pictures are made, and the Adventus staff has received all of the senior portraits from Joe McEachern Photography , we will call seniors into the staff room and allow them to select their picture. This usually takes place in November.
When are make-up pictures for seniors who did not have their picture made during the summer?
We have ONE senior make up day. This is the LAST day to have pictures made. If you would like proofs of these pictures there will be a $20.00 sitting fee. Please listen to announcements and check the website for the makeup picture date.
What if I did not receive proofs or pictures that I ordered?
Once proofs and pictures are delivered to SHS we will distribute them in homeroom. Sports, band and cheer pictures are distributed by the sponsors/ coaches. If you did not receive your proof or order please check with your homeroom teacher, coach or sponsor first. Then, check with the yearbook staff to determine if your order was delivered late. Pictures that are not turned in by the deadline date will not arrive at the same time as pictures turned in on time. You can also call Joe McEachern Photography at 256-442-4347 or email Mrs. Carter at katie_carter@ecboe .org with any questions.

When will I purchase a yearbook?

We NEVER order extra books; however, we sometimes have run-over copies that are sent to us from Balfour. If those books are made available to us we will sell them for $85.00 each.
When will I receive my yearbook?
We create a comprehensive yearbook. It covers the first day of school until Graduation. Our staff continues to work on the yearbook once the school year had ended. Our books are published in the summer and generally delivered to SHS in August. They will be available for pick up the first week of school. Please call a day ahead to let us know when you will pick up your book and we will have it available in the office for you. It’s a good idea to bring your receipt with you.
What if I have a problem with my yearbook?
It is important to realize that the yearbook is a STUDENT publication made for students by students. Staff members are not professional photographers or journalist. There will be errors in the book. We strive to eliminate errors and our goal is to create the perfect book, but we understand that it is simply not humanly possible. If an error occurs it is unintentional. Once the book is published, there is little we can do to correct errors.
Who do I contact if I have a yearbook question?
Our yearbook is created during a class period and our sponsor has other teaching responsibilities. She may not be able to take calls during the day. The best way to receive information is through sending her an email at: katie _ carter @ecboe.org
