**********2017 SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES!!!!!!***********

PROM TICKETS ON SALE NOW! 
Seniors will need to RSVP to their panther period teacher and juniors will purchase their tickets from Mrs. Boatwright.  All tickets are 25.00. If a senior is bringing a date that is not a senior at SHS, they will need to purchase their date's ticket from their panther period teacher.  Tickets will be on sale thru the 24th.  Don't forget to check the attendance before purchasing a ticket.

If so, They have an opportunity to participate in the 1st Annual Southside Community Talent Show hosted by Southside High School!!!  Entry fee is $5.00, Dress Rehearsal April 18, 4:00-7:00, Talent Show April 21, 6:00 pm. th period, from Mrs. Carter during Panther Period, or Break.

PLEASE pick up an information form from the yearbook staff room. This includes awards given at banquets. These forms must be completed and SIGNED by your sponsor or coach, and returned to the Adventus Staff no later than, March 15th.

YEARBOOK FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Etowah County Schools (ECS) and Southside High School have created a REMIND (formerly Remind101) for ECS announcements and information. This will replace our e-Alert system.  It's free and easy to use. This will be especially useful in the event of early dismissal, late arrivals, school closings, etc.    Please click  Remind Instruction to join.

Report cards will go home with students on Friday, January 9th. The report card will show the student's grades for the past 9 weeks of school.  You will also notice a Term 1 Average on this report card. The Term 1 Average does not affect a student's final grade in any way.  It is simply just an average of the 1st 9 week and 2nd 9 week grades.  This just automatically prints on the report card.   
A students's final average will be calculated from the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th, 9 weeks grades and the final exam in May.  
If you have any questions, please contact the guidance counselors at the school.
