YEARBOOK FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Etowah County Schools (ECS) and Southside High School have created a REMIND (formerly Remind101) for ECS announcements and information. This will replace our e-Alert system.  It's free and easy to use. This will be especially useful in the event of early dismissal, late arrivals, school closings, etc.    Please click  Remind Instruction to join.

Report cards will go home with students on Friday, January 9th. The report card will show the student's grades for the past 9 weeks of school.  You will also notice a Term 1 Average on this report card. The Term 1 Average does not affect a student's final grade in any way.  It is simply just an average of the 1st 9 week and 2nd 9 week grades.  This just automatically prints on the report card.
A students's final average will be calculated from the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th, 9 weeks grades and the final exam in May.
If you have any questions, please contact the guidance counselors at the school.
